FAQ — Toronto

Common questions.

Do you dispatch carriers based in Toronto?

Yes. The GTA is our highest-volume region. We dispatch owner-operators and small carriers based anywhere in the 416 or 905 — from downtown to Scarborough to Brampton. If you're running out of the GTA on lanes into Quebec, the US Northeast, or the US Midwest, we likely cover your freight.

What cross-border lanes do you cover from Toronto?

Primarily Toronto into Detroit, MI; Buffalo and Rochester, NY; Cleveland, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; and onward into Chicago, IL and the wider US Midwest and Northeast. We handle PARS/PAPS submissions and ACE/ACI eManifest coordination with brokers. We don't currently dispatch into western US states or California.

What equipment do you dispatch in Toronto?

Sprinter / cargo van, straight truck, 24-ft and 26-ft straight box, 53-ft dry van, and power-only (tractor pulling broker-provided trailer). Not currently dispatching reefer, flatbed, step deck, tanker, or heavy haul. If you run specialty equipment we'll be upfront about that before signing.

How quickly can I get onboarded if I'm a Toronto-area carrier?

Intro call within 24 hours. Document verification (authority, insurance, void cheque) typically 1–2 business days. Broker carrier packet completion 24–48 hours per broker. Most Toronto-area carriers see their first dispatched load within 5–10 business days of intake.

What's the dispatch fee for Toronto carriers?

Dispatch pricing is custom-quoted on a call based on your equipment, lanes, and operation. Month-to-month with a 30-day exit clause. We walk through everything on the intro call before you commit to anything.

Are you a freight broker?

No. Trucc.ca is a freight dispatch service. We are not a licensed freight broker. We do not take possession, custody, or control of freight, and we don't sit between the broker payment and the carrier. Rate confirmations are in your name, the broker pays you directly, and we bill our dispatch fee separately.
